Totally NOT like me...

I needed to step out of my comfort "kid card" zone and make some pretty adult friendly cards...
We finally got the "Bloomin' Beautiful" hostess set, and looky that-It's in the new catalog!

Anyways here's something a little different from me--Different colors, different style, everything.

I read on someone's blog today that you should sponge-for depth and warmth-so I kept that in mind...I knew I wanted a crack at this image with my Copics, and wanted to go with colors other than pink or blue... I distressed all the edges with just my finger nail and sponged all the layers with River rock. Here are the copics I used:

Recipe~Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful by SU

Paper: Whisper White for the card base, Papertrey white for the image, River rock and celery pallet o'prints paper from su

Ink: Adirondack pitch black, copics, river rock

Accessories: Linen thread from su, sponge, mini library clip from su

Happy Saturday! It's hot here this week! :)

Looks good! I'm glad to find someone else has a comfort zone they need to get out of. I thought it was just me...

Looks so good. I am super impressed with this card. It's funny because cards like this are more my comfort zone, and I really need to be pushed into the whole "kid" department. I don't think I have any kid or baby cards in my stash right now.
