Card Box tutorial

I have received some requests on how to make the card box I posted yesterday. I did take some pictures as I was putting it together, so here goes. I hope this makes sense, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

1. First take a piece of 12X12 cardstock (I used the new textured cardstock).
2. Trim a 3" piece of one side.
3. Score at 1.5" and 7.5".
4. Flip your cardstock and score at 4.5",6" and 10.5"

5. Cut slits at those scores you just made.

6. Cut out the ones on the left completely, and fold. Apply sticky strip to the sides, and fold together and adhere.

I decorated the front and top panel, and used those SU Big eyelets and tied the top down to finish it off.

Great gift ideas when to want to make normal sized cards to give away. You can now make matching boxes for all your gift sets. The Scor-web site offers all sorts of ideas and tips on how to make boxes and stuff. Check it out! I looove my Scor-Pal!

Star Ornament

Here are the directions for the star ornament. Super Simple!

Cut a piece of designer paper 6" x 6" and make score marks every 1"

Next, fold it like accordian style.

Now, fold it in half to find the middle (around 3" mark) and staple

Take your scissors and start cutting about 1/2" from the staple, up to the ends (not on the folded side)

Do this on both side of the staple so that it looks like this:

Then put a little piece of sticky strip above the staple on both sides (placement of the sticky strip is important)

Now fold the accordian out, so that the sticky strips hold it together

Add a little hole with a tiny punch, and some cord, and you have your self a tree ornament or a decoration for a present!!

Beautiful Bow!

Ok so here goes...If you have any other questions, please email me!

You need a 12 X 12 sheet of designer paper. The new Stampin Up! christmas designer paper is so nice! Cut 12 pieces at 7" X 1", 4 pieces of 6" X 1", and 1 piece of 5" X 1".

Fold them so that you can see only the side that you want. The ends should be over-lapping a bit and tape together.

Do this to all 12 of the 7" X 1" pieces

Tape 2 together, ends just overlapping a tiny bit.

Now glue down another duo on top and fasten with a brad for added stability.

Repeat these steps until you have used up all 12 of the 7" X 1" pieces

Using Sticky strip, stick all the duos inside each other.

Now take your 4-6"x 1" pieces and repeat what you just did with the longer pieces.

Now take your remaing piece of paper and make it into a loop.

Tape it into the middle. Squish it down good so it sticks~you might want to use sticky strip.

And Voila~A Beautiful Bow!

Colored Dazzling Diamonds!

This is just one of the cool things I learned from Stamp with Heather. I thought I would share it with you!

Supplies: You will need a jar of Dazzling Diamonds, A Re-inker (color of your choice)a bowl and a toothpick!

Add 1 drop of re-inker (I used Regal Rose),
2 drops of water, and 1/2 tsp of Dazzling Diamonds.

Stir with toothpick before adding Dazzling Diamonds

Stir all together. Mix Well. It kinds "puffs" up.

Let it sit out and kinda dry out for the afternoon. I think as it dries, it shrinks back down to normalish.

Stamp your image, apply the liquid glue where you want the Diamonds.

Be sure to apply lots of Diamond on image. I dusted it with the Diamonds twice to ensure good coverage.

Finished card! I don't love it, but I finished with Aly on my lap, and she helped.

Recipe: Paper: Regal Rose, Whisper White, Certainly Celery and palette o prints
